For Interact Levant, 2025 has surely been successful when it came to uniting for good. During the first half of this Rotarian year, we have made it a priority, above self and all else, to continue serving for the greater good. From recruitment events to district projects, join us on the journey of exploring our first term activities.
Power to You(th)
To start off this term’s series of events, on the 22nd of November, Power to You(th) was an event that came to life over the course of seven certainly packed, but beautiful weeks. Its aim was to introduce a young audience to basic political concepts, such as how to distinguish misinformation and disinformation, and the main differences between left and right ideologies. Our guests, Vlad Adamescu and Răzvan Petri from Politică la Minut, helped us maintain a smooth and interactive conversation, through which the participants had the chance to expand their knowledge regarding international issues. In addition, we have managed to raise a sum of 900 RON for Fundația Nouă Ne Pasă, with the help of the organizing team and our sponsors.
Matei Donose, current Fundraising department member:
Through the Power to You(th) project, I did not only have the opportunity to develop my organizational skills, but it also served as a valuable exercise in critical thinking through the presentations specifically designed for this purpose. Having the chance to clarify many of my uncertainties with the help of Politică la Minut, in a well-structured and relevant manner, represented an important deepening of my general and political knowledge, as well as an experience that will certainly be useful to me in the future.

Path 2 Uni
The Path 2 Uni project was organized last year, on the 29th of November, in partnership with Upgrade Education and The Youth. Its aim was to respond to an identified need among teenagers interested in applying to universities abroad, familiarising them with the necessary steps of this process. The event consisted of talks delivered by Upgrade Education, Fig Tree Institute, and an American student who came to Romania through the FLEX Program, Thomas Marull. Participants received clear and well-structured information about the admission process, required documents and selection criteria, presented in an accessible manner. All funds raised – precisely 1025 RON – were later donated to Adăpostul Speranța.
Anisia Sandru, new member:
The impact of the event reflected in the positive feedback we received and in the support offered to young people in helping them make informed decisions with greater confidence regarding their academic path. Being involved in organising Path 2 Uni was a valuable experience that showed us the real impact educational initiatives can have on young people at the beginning of their journey.

Levant Wonderland
On December 13th, Levant Wonderland, a Christmas-themed gingerbread workshop, took place.Levant Wonderland was a cozy Saturday spent with friends, building gingerbread houses, but even more than that, it was the opportunity for a small community to come together and give back to those who truly need our help, raising a total of 2380 RON for Ana și copiii. Many people were eager to join in supporting a shared cause, with patience, understanding, and compassion, which certainly reflects the heart of Interact.
Petra Grădinariu, new member:
For us, it was more than just an event. It was a reflection of the hard work and time all of us dedicated to making what was once a concept become reality. The experience itself is hard to put into words, as only those who were there could feel the joy that gleamed inside their hearts. Even so, it would be a shame if more people couldn’t feel at least a small portion of the joy that we felt that day. The event was truly a success, and we can proudly say we managed to make Christmas magical for at least a few children!
Maria Radu, new member:
Levant Wonderland event was my recruit event, my first time ever organising any type of event and I loved every bit of it. I had an amazing team which helped me enjoy the meetings and focus on what’s important. I consider our event successful even though I remember that on the day of I was nervous, even my parents came to see what I’ve worked for. There were lots of people, more than we expected, but we managed to keep it all together. We were lucky and I am grateful for that. I will always look back at the event day and think of it as a really good day, I can’t wait to organise another event like this. It was truly a pleasure.

Together in Tune
Together in Tune was an event held on January 10 2026, at Humanitas Lipscani, which centered around music, focusing mainly on the careers of Romanian musicians. Among the highly-awaited guests was Răzvan Albu, COMA’s drummer, who spoke beautifully about the band and their journey to becoming one of Romania’s well-known bands. Andrei Ilie, Byron’s drummer, took the stage too, and shared stories about both the band and his personal experiences. This section was followed by a presentation with several music-related games, at the end of which music enthusiasts could receive prizes of their choice. With the help of participants, we raised 2769 RON for the non-profit organisation Pisici pe Creier.
Dragomir Letiția, new member:
The process of organizing an event is much harder than it looks like at first sight. Searching for sponsors, locations and coming up with an idea that would make people want to show up is not an easy task. However, during this process, with the organising team from Together in tune, time went by fast and it turned into a fun, relaxing activity along with people who progressively became our friends. We connected easily, based on mutual beliefs and our wish to make a change for the better in the world.

Lotus Moon Festival
Lotus Moon Festival was our last project of the recruitment period, an Asian-themed event which happened on the 17th of January 2026. There, participants had the chance to connect with Asian culture by learning origami, lettering design in Japanese and other such crafts. The 1859 RON raised during the event were, too, donated to the animal shelter Adăpostul Speranța.
Andrei Ropcea, new member:
This event really helped me develop my teamwork skills and allowed me to make new friends. I was satisfied by the sum that we managed to raise and it helped me understand that every good deed is important.
Sofia Diaconu, new member:
The event was sustained by great teamwork, and I really enjoyed working with my friends. Everything ran smoothly, and I was glad to see that people were engaged and enjoyed taking part in the activities.

And… it’s a wrap! As much as we loved experiencing the joy of our accomplishments, we assure that what’s yet to come is far more exciting for both our club and supported communities. We thank you for reliving our highlights with us, and remember to stay tuned for our upcoming projects. 💞
