Rewind
To start with a play on words, last year was certainly eventful for us. Throughout the mandate, we diversified the activities we engaged in, and while we had lots of fun, we also encountered unexpected situations that eventually resulted in lasting memories. We’ll go into detail.
The fall semester debuted with a few changes in terms of our main purpose, shifting the focus from solely event-organising towards volunteering for a few civic causes. Consequently, we created two groups within our club which would visit two centres weekly: Asociația Ana și Copiii and Adăpostul Speranța, an NGO assisting children from underprivileged backgrounds, respectively a dog shelter. Although the weather wasn’t always the best, and neither was the journey to the locations, our volunteers conscientiously showed up (almost) every week, motivated to help to the best of their efforts. At the former, our team assisted children in their educational pursuits, such as doing homework or practicing newly acquired knowledge. At the latter, the volunteers cooked for puppies, followed by a good ol’ playing session. Nonetheless, as our members participated in these activities and provided feedback, we realised which aspects could be improved, and made it one of this year’s objectives to optimize our volunteering initiatives.

Stella Bucur, President ‘24-‘25:
I adored our team and I appreciated every member’s contribution, enthusiasm and desire to not only help out, but dedicate their hearts and souls to our community.
To circle back to the core of Interact, event organisation, we have compelling results to share on this topic too: 10 successful events hosted, participation in 3 district initiatives and 1 zone initiative, and 4 fruitful collaborations with other Interact clubs and high-school clubs. Ranging from literature and philosophy workshops, college guidance presentations, and even coding sessions, to mysterious balls, immersive summer parties and public speaking contests, we had it all last year. And, dear dancing queen, we wish to have it all this year too, with you by our side.

Mihaela Zgabei-Ilie, current Fundraising department member:
The moment I organised my first event was the first time I truly felt like my effort matters and brings joy, especially when I had realised there were people next to me with the same goal: to help.
Talk talk
Being part of Interact Levant Coșbuc not only offers the opportunity to do all the activities listed above, but also the chance to do so in an inclusive community that encourages you to speak your mind and be your truest self.
“Interact is about people”, says Beatrice, a member of Interact Levant Coșbuc, and we could not agree more. Beneath the official activities of the club, there’s a genuine social experience. The truth is that no matter how reserved, awkward or shy you might consider yourself, you will end up finding someone you actually enjoy talking to. Friendships in Interact grow, even if you aren’t extroverted or would rather stay at home than go to a team building. Because guess what? You will inevitably find yourself stuck selling sweets at the Christmas Fair, and your booth colleague will strike up a conversation. It is an unescapable canon event.
The District Conferences are an important part of the social experience. They are large events that bring all Interact clubs together for a few days filled with workshops, discussions, elections and the occasional parties. During these conferences, you will end up mingling, whether out of want, chance or need. Whatever the reason may be, everyone eventually realises that they are surrounded by others who have lived the same experiences as theirs. And so, pushed by this sense of familiarity, they start sharing stories, swapping contacts, telling jokes that only make sense in this family we call Interact.

So, if you are considering joining Interact Levant Coșbuc, but are slightly afraid you won’t fit in, don’t be. In the end, you will find a place where you truly feel like you belong, which will become difficult to leave behind when the time comes. Nevertheless, knowing that the friendships formed through Interact will persevere should put your mind at ease.
Beatrice Prisacariu, current PR department member:
Interact is about people. The people we meet, the people we help, the people who motivate us, the people who shape us in ways we wouldn’t expect. It’s not just a volunteering club or association that aims to support a charitable cause, it’s a transformative experience and what you will remember as your best high school memories.
Club classics
When it comes to the internal organisation, our club holds monthly meetings. The board handles administrative matters such as taking attendance and informing the members about upcoming events. Then comes one of our favorite parts of the meeting: the HR activities.
For example, we kicked off the Rotarian year with an engaging activity called Tangled. In this game, past members and new recruits introduced themselves using a long yarn thread. By the end, everyone was connected, quite literally! On another occasion, we played a special version of the famous board game Monopoly, but with a creative twist: it was Interact themed!
To wrap up the year with reflection and gratitude, our final HR activity invited members to write down their favorite events and moments from both semesters. And, of course, no end-of-year meeting is complete without something sweet – we marked our achievements with a delicious cake, reminding us all that hard work truly pays off.

Sânziana Munteanu, current HR department member:
The HR department is a space where ideas are valued, growth is encouraged, and a strong sense of community thrives.
Back-to-back
As for what the future holds, Interact Levant is looking forward to staying on course with our charity work, as well as enhancing each new opportunity in innovative ways. Our next year will be all about lasting impact, connections, support, creativity, and creating unforgettable memories together. Expect a return of some of our signature charitable events and involvement in district projects, and additionally, brand-new, accessible initiatives.
Alex Ungur, President ‘23-‘24:
Interact has taught me invaluable life lessons and gave me the opportunity to truly give back to my community. I’ll always be thankful for this journey, and Interact Levant will forever have a special place in my heart.
Throughout this journey, we’re hoping to improve every member and recruit’s experience, making sure everyone feels welcome and heard. So, if you’re a high school student at C.N.B. “George Coșbuc” eager to expand your view of the world, contribute to meaningful change, develop your skills, and forge long-lasting friendships, Interact Levant is the right place for you.

Starting from the 1st of September until the 21st, you can sign up to join our team as a recruit, and become part of our story. We can’t wait to get to know you! In the meantime, stay tuned for what’s to come, and we’ll see you in autumn! 😊🚀
